Meltdown: Cable Chair

Meltdown Chair: Cable Chair
Made by Tom Price

You’re looking at around 10,000 black nylon cable ties heated and pressed into a seat shaped form to create a unique chair. As they are heated the ties set into the shape of the chair, and as the form cools it creates the contrast in form and texture. The designer used no other materials to create the chair, and has made many other versions of this chair using different materials.  Using a material like this and creating a functioning piece from it keeps your eye guessing all the way around the chair.
